Benefits of Radiant Heating
Do I need Radiant Heating?
- If in the winter you cannot get your feet and legs warm no matter what you do.
- If you have a blanket on the couch to keep warm
- If you turn the heat up only to be uncomfortably hot at head level and forced to turn it down
- If you think you might have poor blood circulation
- If you cannot wait for summer
Actually it is not you at all! It is your heating system
Comfort
Radiant heating can add additional comfort to your home whether it is an existing structure or is going to be soon built. Imagine walking into a room where the warmth of the room starts at your toes and continues upwards - instead of the warmth being located only near the fireplace or electic baseboard heaters.
Radiant in floor heat provides the ultimate in comfort. With temperatures most comfortable at floor to head level and actually lower at ceiling height. (Convection can have air temperatures of 90degrees at ceiling and 60 degrees at floor level.)
A few comments we have have heard about radiant heat:
- "I noticed it as soon as I walked in the door without anyone telling me, the first time I experienced it. - It is amazing."
- "I used to work in a greenhouse with radiant, on a cold day with snow on the ground, I just felt like lying on the greenhouse floor."
- "I had to have it in my new home."
- "It is my favourite feature of my new home."
- "I love it"
- “I have worked in many large shops with and without radiant. With fan coils at the ceiling it took forever to warm up the shop after the large doors had been opened. With Radiant you feel warm almost right away.”
Forced air Vs. Radiant floor heating:
Have you experienced it in a hydronic (water sourced) in floor professional installation???
If yes, you probably want it in your home, or have it in your home and want to tell others about it. If you have experienced a properly designed radiant system you will never want to go back.
If not, we would best describe the feeling of ultimate comfort at my Homepage
To me this is what the Ultimate in comfort is all about. This can be yours even throughout a cold Canadian winter (Canada is the coldest country in the world!!)
“Ultimate = greatest: greatest, most nearly perfect, or highest in quality
Comfort = conditions in which somebody feels physically relaxed
