Electric Mat Radiant compared to Hydronic Radiant.

Electric Mat Radiant is becoming quite common for use in smaller areas, typically in bathrooms entranceways or kitchens. While electric Mat radiant works great, it is obviously limited to electricity as the energy source. Electricity Rates  can vary greatly, from very reasonable to considerably higher than other energy sources.

Hydronic Radiant is mostly used in large areas such as a basement  or whole house heating. I reccomend whole house Radiant heating to get all the benefits throughout the whole home and because the mechanical room with boiler and controls would not cost much more to do the whole house.

• ability to add features (snowmelt, towel warmer, radiators garage etc.)
